The Interpreter Bookings are combined and one is cancelled

As you have probably noticed, a lot of money is spent on interpreter appointments booked from external agencies – such as All Grads and On Call.

One reason for this is that you have to book them for at least 90 minutes – even if you only need them for a 30 minute appointment. Their remaining time is often not used.

As an example, if both Jane Physio and Joe Podiatrist require a Turkish Interpreter for a client and do not coordinate their bookings, it is likely that they will each make their own – costing you about $360.

The solution

To fix this problem, the Interpreter Booking System allows your staff to see and book the unused time of other people’s interpreters. This means that if Joe Podiatrist books a Turkish interpreter for a 15 minute appointment, Jane Physio can easily add her booking to the interpreter’s unused time. This reduces the number of external bookings that are created from two to just one – a saving of $180.

Better bookings leads to savings

How much? By doing this, it was calculated that Dianella Community Health Service saved an estimated $200 per week – or $10,000 a year.
